
Description: In this course educators will take a deep dive into the investigating practices of Asking Questions, Planning and Carrying Out Investigations, Using Mathematical and Computational Thinking.
Intended Audiences: K-5 educator; 6-12 science educators
Learning Objectives:

Describe the Science Engineering Practices and their role in K-12 science education.

Articulate the student outcomes of each of the 3 investigating practices at the end of grade 12, and the benchmarks for each grade band (K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12).

Develop lessons that incorporate grade-appropriate use of each of the 3 investigating practices.

Develop assessments that require students to demonstrate grade-appropriate use of each of the 3 investigating practices. Assessments may be formative or summative.
